| Do you have a quality baseball school in or near your town? Want one? Read on! Do you want to promote baseball in your community? Here's how! Mickey Owen Baseball 'Day Schools' are a ticket to your best season yet. We travel to local communities for a home town school for a 4 or 5 day program. 'Day schools' offer an opportunity to work with our professional educators and seasoned coaches. Our philosophy combines instruction, specialized drills, goal oriented skill reinforcement and play. 'Day Schools' provide a fun and organized challenge for players ages 7-9; 10-12 and 13-15. We hold schools in the summer months (Monday-Friday) or during holiday and other school breaks. Check our roster to see if there is a 'Day School' coming to your area! If you would like to bring a Day School to your community select Host your own 'Day School'. |
| OBJECTIVE AND PHILOSOPHY Our purpose is to introduce players to proper and safe baseball fundamentals. We train in techniques and skill development while developing discipline through Learning and Practice. Our students enjoy successful achievement by meeting performance challenges including games of skill and measurement of key talent indicators. PROGRAM The program includes all the basics: hitting, fielding, throwing, base running, bunting, sliding, etc. We also instruct in specialized areas: position play including pitching, catching, 2nd & short stop, 1st & 3rd and outfield, cut offs, run downs, etc. STAFF All schools are staffed by veteran Mickey Owen educators. Instructors are chosen for their ability to relate to students needs as well as for their baseball knowledge. (1 to 10 Coach to Player ratio or less) WHERE 'Day Schools' are held in communities all over America and Canada.
