Coaching Opportunities

1. Earn the salary you require this summer (May through August).
2. Select which weeks and how many you wish to work. (From 1 to 12)
3. Work close to home or choose to travel.
4. Day work Monday through Friday from: 9:00 to 12:00; 9:00 to 2:00 or 9:00 to 3:30.
5. Instruct baseball fundamentals (outdoors) to students ages 7 to 14.
6. We provide a unique baseball curriculum and opportunity to work with a seasoned crew of Mickey Owen Baseball School educators.
7. Chance for advancement to head instructor position.

Day School Coach's - Duties and Responsibilities

Each coach is assigned to a particular age group of 10 or less students and works with this group throughout the week. Coaches train students during the morning and afternoon instructional workouts. Our veteran coaches will lead the instructional classes, although any coach may be asked to instruct a class segment.

We expect our coaches to assist each student to improve and learn baseball regardless of the student's ability. Your mission is to share knowledge and create an environment for increasing skill development in a fun and enjoyable way. Coaches are responsible for ensuring that students are provided an equal opportunity in all phases of instruction and at their chosen defensive position. At the end of the week coaches may complete an evaluation report on each student in their group.

In general, coaches assist in assuring that all students abide by the school objective of good sportsmanship, safety and behavior. Coaches are responsible for the equipment on the field and for monitoring lunch.
